AND SO HOT RIGHT NOW . . . IS BAAACK

So Hot Right Now . . . In Van Isle has been on a bit of a hiatus this past year but due to recent inspiration we are back.

The beautiful people of Vancouver Island have been rockin' it out style-wise lately (not that they weren't always of course) and so I want to embark on bringin' this lil' blog back.

First and foremost, this is not a fashion blog. This is a style blog.

In the words of Oscar de la Renta, “Fashion is about dressing according to what’s fashionable. Style is more about being yourself.”

That's what this blog is interested in - not so much if what people are wearing is following the current "fashion trends", but more about who is rockin' whatever they're wearing, loving it and having fun with it. Colour, attitude and risk-taking are at the top of the list. (But we love it all!)

So bring your style game and if someone politely asks you if it's okay to take your picture for So Hot Right Now . . . just say "Yes!"

(But I guess I should say it's okay if you say "No" too. *Tear). Ha.

As an aside, I debated as to whether or not to delete the old posts on this blog (mostly from 2008) but I have decided to leave them. I have done this somewhat for archival purposes (what can I say, I love history) but also because I think it's kind of cool to look back and see what people were wearing at that time.

Even though they will remain here, this is nonetheless a new beginning for So Hot Right Now . . . In Van Isle.

Any person who is featured in this blog has given me their permission to take their photograph . . . and is hot.
